This area has a long history of continuous educational development. Prior to becoming a university, it was established as a vocational teacher college and has been in operation since 1948 until the present. It has since transformed into the Faculty of Industrial Education and the Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, under the Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon. It is an old and prestigious educational institution specializing in business administration, established since 1898. It is the first institution in Thailand dedicated to commerce. The campus is situated in the former palace of Admiral His Royal Highness Prince Aphiphaniyakorn, Grand Master of Chumphon District Udomsak (Wang Nang Leung), located on Phitsanulok Road, Dusit District, Bangkok.<\/p><p>Wang Nang Leung has an approximate area of 11 acres and serves as the location for various buildings. It includes a grand residence that serves as the landmark of His Royal Highness, Prince Apakorn Kiatwong, from the Grand Palace Chumphon Udomsak District. The architectural style is similar to the Western-style Phra Thinang Boromphim on Mahachai Road. The two-story residence is made of concrete and is surrounded by four pavilions.<\/p><p>The &#8220;Ruen Mor Phon&#8221; or Mor Phon House is a two-story wooden house located in the area of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon (RMUTP) in Bangkok. Originally owned by Momien Aphakorn at Ayutthaya, the house features a Neo-Classical architectural style with modifications to adapt to the hot climate of the region by using wood as the main material. The museum is open for visits during office hours.<\/p><p>On December 19, 1976, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX, unveiled the monument of Admiral His Royal Highness Prince Aphiphaniyakorn, the Grand Master of Chumphon District Udomsak. He donated the area near Wat Thewarat Kunchorn Worawihan and wooden houses. Initially, the Chotiwet School of Vocational Education was established in 1938, and it was later upgraded to Chotiwet College in 1974. In 1988, it was renamed Chotiwet Institute of Technology and Vocational Education, and in 1988, it became Chotiwet Institute of Technology and Vocational Education, Chotiwet Campus.<\/p><p>In the year 1988, the campus was included in the group of regional institutes and later separated into nine universities, with one of them becoming &#8220;Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon.&#8221; In 2005, it was established as &#8220;Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon&#8221; as an independent university. Since its establishment as a business administration campus, RMUTP has produced renowned musicians at the national level, such as Khun Ko Mister Zakeman, Khun Narikrajong, and Khun Kantamad. In 2018, the Thai music ensemble of RMUTP came together to perform at a retirement event, and on that day, Assoc. Prof. Supattra Kosaiyakanon, the university president at that time, named the ensemble &#8220;Chalong Khwan Sangkhit.&#8221; The name was derived from the university&#8217;s emblematic flower, the Chalor Kwan Lotus, which is considered a symbol of good luck.
